I had the opportunity to photograph this young elk calf as it hid in the grass. It tolerated me and my zoom lens. While drawing this piece I was continuously reminded how important the act of being still is for our mental, emotional and spiritual health. There is a time to run and a time to be still. I hope we can all find moments of peace in our busy days.
